The photographs on this site are of
the New Forest (where I live) and South Africa, which I have visited
twice in the last two years. I have lived in the New Forest for 17
years. I am retired with a large family of children and grandchildren.
My late husband was a current affairs film director with the BBC and
also a very good photographer. Although he didn’t actually teach me
I watched, listened and inwardly digested a lot of information, which
I have been putting to good use since I bought my first digital camera
five years ago. I specialise in photographing the animals and landscapes
in this area and am particularly interested by the effect of light
in the woods, during the autumn and winter. South Africa was the most
incredible experience – being able to photograph the animals in their
natural habitat and even occasionally getting close-ups!
